Job Summary
The Site Assistant Manager – Accountant is responsible for leading site operations while overseeing end-to-end financial management of the project. This role ensures operational efficiency, strict budget control, financial compliance, and timely reporting. The position requires strong leadership capability, commercial acumen, and hands-on experience managing large-scale project finances and multidisciplinary site teams.
Key Responsibilities
A. Site Accounting & Operational Assistances
- Lead and manage daily site finance operations to ensure project delivery within scope, time, and budget.
- Monitor procurement, material consumption, and vendor performance.
- Drive productivity improvements and cost optimization initiatives.
B. Financial Management & Accounting
- Lead complete financial management of site accounts.
- Develop, monitor, and control project budgets and cash flows.
- Approve and verify vendor bills, subcontractor payments, and payroll.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping and ledger maintenance.
- Oversee statutory compliance including VAT, WHT , labor laws, etc.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Implement financial controls and strengthen governance at site level.
- Liaise with corporate finance team for fund management and reporting.
- Liasoning with banks / clients for operational matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration.
- Professional certification (CA Inter / CMA / CPA / MBA Finance) preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in construction/project-based industries.
- Strong understanding of project costing, budgeting, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP).
