Position Overview
CitiStaff is seeking a motivated Administrative Assistant who is interested in developing a career in recruiting and talent acquisition. This entry-level role is designed for someone eager to learn the staffing industry from the ground up. The selected candidate will support daily administrative operations while receiving hands-on training to transition into a full-cycle Recruiter role over time.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills who wants long-term growth within a staffing and recruiting organization.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Provide daily administrative support to the recruiting and sales teams
- Maintain and update applicant and client information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Assist with data entry, document management, and personnel file organization
- Answer incoming calls, emails, and inquiries professionally
- Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate appointments
- Assist with onboarding paperwork, background checks, and compliance documentation
Recruiting Training & Exposure
- Learn recruiting fundamentals including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates
- Assist recruiters with job postings, resume review, and candidate outreach
- Conduct initial candidate phone screens as training progresses
- Shadow experienced recruiters to understand full-cycle recruiting processes
- Learn employment laws, hiring compliance, and staffing best practices
- Support job order intake and client communication under supervision
Training & Growth Path

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 1–2 years of administrative, customer service, or office experience preferred
- Strong interest in recruiting, HR, or staffing as a career path
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
