AI Engineer for OT/IoT Systems (Full-Stack) (DSC/JH)

Overview

We are seeking a highly resourceful and technical practitioner with 3–5 years of full-time, hands-on experience to design, develop, and implement secure applications across OT (Operational Technology) and IoT ecosystems.

This is a role for a "doer" who bridges the gap between hardware, software, and data science. Unlike a traditional developer role, you must be proficient in building full-stack systems and designing, creating, and implementing Machine Learning (ML) models into practical client usage. You will work independently as a "lone wolf" on deep technical tasks while collaborating fluently with team members to deliver production-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Engineering: Design, develop, test, and maintain robust frontend and backend systems. Absolute proficiency in coding is mandatory.Practical ML Implementation: Design, develop and deploy functional ML models and pipelines specifically for OT/IoT use cases (e.g., anomaly detection, predictive maintenance) into live client environments.OT/IoT Integration & Continuous Learning: Translate complex industrial and device requirements into technical specifications, ensuring secure data flow between physical assets and digital platforms. While prior exposure is required, we provide access to internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to guide and advise on industrial protocols. The candidate must be resourceful and possess a sharp keenness to learn and master new OT/IoT technologies under expert mentorship.Technical Resourcefulness: Act as a primary technical problem-solver, troubleshooting and optimizing system performance in complex, often restricted environments.Fluid Execution: Manage multiple technical workstreams simultaneously, maintaining high-precision output while pivoting between different technologies and project needs.Software Architecture: Contribute to core software architecture decisions, ensuring the application codebase is modular, scalable, and high-performance. You will be responsible for suggesting the right design patterns and frameworks to ensure long-term maintainability and security across the entire software stack.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 3–5 years of full-time, hands-on professional experience in software engineering (Technical focus).Full-Stack Mastery: Excellent proficiency in frontend (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular) and backend (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go) technologies.ML Proficiency: Proven ability to design and implement ML models for practical usage (e.g., libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn). This is a core requirement, not a "plus."OT/IoT Exposure: Technical background or working knowledge of OT/IoT environments, including industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, MQTT, S7) and edge computing. Candidates with this experience will be fast-tracked.DevOps Foundations: Proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.Data Management: Strong experience with RESTful APIs and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
