Assistant Manager - Mechanical Maintenance

About the Company

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Reliability & Maintenance
• Ensure zero breakdowns in critical equipment including:
• Cabinet & Door Foaming Machines
• Thermoforming Machines
• Extruders
• Gas Charging & Evacuation Systems
• Liner Punching Machines
• Door Metal & U-Shell Lines
• Develop, execute, and continuously improve Preventive, Predictive, and Corrective Maintenance (PPM) plans.
• Improve machine life cycle and reduce overhaul and spare part costs.

About the Role

Failure Analysis & Continuous Improvement

• Analyze mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures.
• Prepare 8D / Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and implement CAPA.
• Drive OEE improvement, downtime reduction, and cost optimization.
• Work closely with OEMs for major corrections, upgrades, and performance improvements.

Responsibilities

Spare Parts & Cost Optimization

• Perform VED analysis for mechanical spares.
• Localize mechanical spare parts to reduce cost and dependency.
• Ensure optimum inventory while maintaining machine availability.

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and update maintenance manuals, SOPs, drawings, and PM checklists.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
• Maintain breakdown history, daily reports, and servicing records.

Team Leadership & Training

• Train and mentor new technicians and engineers.
• Prepare structured training kits and conduct refresher training.
• Supervise team adherence to BSH safety standards and department rules.
• Support Maintenance Engineering (ME) and Design Engineering (DE) teams for localization and ratio projects.

Cross-Functional & Supplier Interaction

• Daily coordination with Production, Quality, ME, DE, and Safety teams.
• Regular interaction with suppliers for spare parts, troubleshooting, and technical analysis.
• Participate in daily review meetings and drive action plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience
• 8–10 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance within manufacturing / factory environment
