Job Description
The AVP – Learning & Development will be responsible for end-to-end execution of learning initiatives with primary ownership of LMS management, behavioural and leadership capability building, and enterprise learning programs. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in learning technology, content design, and program delivery within a BFSI / life insurance context.
Key Responsibilities
1. Learning Management System (LMS) Ownership
•
Own end-to-end LMS administration and operations
•
Curate and design content for digital learning courses
•
Design and manage need-based learning paths and learning journeys
•
Identify suitable content partners and learning platforms; collaborate to onboard relevant content
•
Drive LMS adoption through promotional campaigns, improved learner experience, and engagement initiatives
•
Track course completions and learning progress
•
Generate and publish monthly learning MIS dashboards for leadership
•
Collaborate with IT and LMS vendors for system enhancements, new feature rollouts, and issue resolution
2. Behavioural & Leadership Development
•
Support the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) process and design of the annual L&D calendar
•
Plan and execute the annual behavioural and leadership learning calendar
•
Drive participant nominations and program attendance
•
Curate and design content for classroom and virtual learning sessions
•
Support the design and delivery of customized learning interventions aligned to business needs
•
Identify and partner with external training vendors to design and deliver tailored capability development programs
•
Facilitate select behavioural or leadership sessions, as required
•
Design pre- and post-program learning materials to enable learning sustenance
•
Measure and track program impact; prepare insight-driven reports
•
Manage L&D initiatives through end-to-end project management
3. Induction, Technical & Functional Programs
•
Lead and manage the Corporate Induction Program, including:
o
Timely scheduling and execution
o
Ensuring 100% participation
o
Coordination with internal stakeholders for business and functional sessions
o
Facilitating sessions, where required
•
Partner with external agencies, institutions, and training organizations to identify relevant technical and functional programs
•
Manage end-to-end nominations and coordination for external learning programs
