Job Description
Associate Manager-HR / HR Manager – Unit HR (Asian Fabricx Pvt. Ltd.)
Role Purpose
To manage end-to-end Unit HR operations, ensuring workforce stability, statutory compliance, buyer requirements, and strong employee engagement for a Home Textile manufacturing unit with a larger headcount of employees.
Key Responsibilities
Unit HR Operations
- Manage complete HR functions, including manpower planning, onboarding, attendance, payroll inputs, and exit management.
- Ensure effective implementation of HR policies and smooth unit-level HR administration.
- Maintain HR MIS, documentation, and workforce analytics.
Recruitment & Workforce Management
- Lead field recruitment activities, with a strong focus on migrant workforce sourcing and deployment.
- Coordinate with contractors, source locations, and agencies to meet manpower requirements.
- Ensure workforce stabilization through proper onboarding, accommodation coordination, and retention initiatives.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with labour laws, including PF, ESI, Factories Act, Minimum Wages, and related regulations.
- Handle labour department inspections and maintain statutory registers and returns.
Buyer & Social Compliance
- Ensure adherence to buyer social compliance standards and code of conduct requirements.
- Prepare for social audits, drive corrective action closure, and ensure continuous compliance improvement.
Employee Engagement & Grievance Management
- Drive employee engagement, welfare, and communication initiatives to improve retention and morale.
- Effectively handle employee grievances, disciplinary cases, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain positive industrial relations and shop-floor discipline.
HR Initiatives & Improvements
- Implement absenteeism control, productivity improvement, and HR digitization initiatives.
- Support process improvements and workforce optimization programs.
Candidate Profile
- MBA/MSW in HR or related field.
- Experience handling Floor-level talents including Migrant workforce in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong exposure to Unit HR operations, statutory compliance, and buyer/social compliance.
- Proven experience in field recruitment and migrant labour hiring (critical requirement).
- Demonstrated track record in employee engagement and grievance handling.
Industry Preference
- Candidates with experience in the Textile / Garment / Home Textile industry will be highly preferred.
Language Proficiency
- English
- Tamil – Mandatory
- Hindi – Preferred (for migrant workforce management)
