Aws Backend Developer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Backend Developer with 6+ years of experience to join our cloud engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems on AWS, leveraging serverless and microservices architectures. This role requires deep technical proficiency, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using AWS cloud technologies.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and event-driven services.

Cloud Integration

• Develop, deploy, and manage solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and other core AWS services.

Security and Compliance

• Implement AWS security best practices including IAM roles and policies, encryption, secure authentication, and secure data handling.

Serverless & Microservices Architecture

• Design and maintain serverless and microservices-based architectures for high availability, scalability, and resilience.

Collaboration

• Work closely with frontend developers, QA, product managers, DevOps engineers, and solution architects to deliver high-quality solutions.

Troubleshooting & Production Support

• Identify, debug, and resolve production issues related to AWS infrastructure and backend services.

Proof-of-Concept (PoC)

• Lead and participate in PoCs to evaluate new AWS services, tools, and backend frameworks.

Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 6+ years of experience in backend and cloud application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and IAM.
• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Python.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK / CloudFormation / Terraform).
• Strong understanding of serverless and microservices architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using AWS and DevOps tools.
• Solid understanding of AWS security best practices and cloud governance.

Problem Solving

• Strong analytical, debugging, and system-level troubleshooting skills.

Communication

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• AWS certification (Associate or Professional level) is a strong plus.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to system design, scalable architectures, and high-availability systems.
• Experience working in enterprise-scale cloud environments.
