BIM Technician

Locations include: Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle Contract: 6 month rolling Rate: £40.00ph-£47.00ph Overview Advance TRS has partnered with a well-established consultancy actively hiring to support a surge of major projects. They are seeking a technically proficient Civil 3D BIM Technician to join their growing Civil Engineering team. The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of infrastructure projects, including highways, earthworks, large-scale civil structures, drainage, and utilities.

Responsibilities Using Autodesk Civil 3D and Navisworks, produce detailed civil engineering designs, including coordination, modelling and drawings. Support clash detection and model coordination activities across disciplines. Support the setup and maintenance of common data environments, project templates, digital standards, and workflows.

Comply with the BIM Execution Plan and ISO 19650 standards, ensuring models are maintained with accurate data and attribute information. Technical Skills Proficiency in Civil 3D, including modelling surfaces, pipe networks, grading, and corridors, is essential. Practical experience using Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection.

Solid understanding of ISO 19650 and relevant local BIM requirements. Experience with common data environments, primarily ACC and Bentley ProjectWise. Ability to conduct model audits and verify data accuracy against the BIM Execution Plan.
