Job Description
The role of the Branch Sales Manager (BSM) is driving the overall Sales of the Branch through the Sales Channel as well individually. He will be responsible for providing leadership to the sales team and achieving the financial goals of the branch. He must be familiar with all product lines of the bank. He will manage Sales Staff, foster a positive environment and ensure customer satisfaction. He will oversee the sales on a daily basis and is ultimately responsible for achievement of Sales Target and for the success of the branch. Key Responsibilities:
Work with the BM in establishing growth, sales, and profit objectives for the branch; provide input to these objectives and to the manner in which performance will be measured and controlled. Ensure that the Sales Force at Branches is properly staffed and that the staff is trained to meet customer service needs as well as sales objectives
Maintain current knowledge of the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India and all other regulatory authorities.
Conduct regularly scheduled sales; actively encourages Sales staff to build customer relationships
Interact with the Branch Manager to further expand existing customer relationships and develop new contacts Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
Make provisions for the proper orientation and training of new Sales personnel who gets inducted in the Banking system and review employee performance on a daily and monthly basis.
Bring out the best of branch’s sales personnel by providing coaching, development and motivation. Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges
