Location and Clearance Falls Church / National Capital Region (primarily on-site at a government headquarters location; telework may be available for tasks that do not require on-site support, based on customer needs) Clearance: Public Trust required (or ability to obtain) Contingency: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable background screening and customer access requirements. Role Overview Polaris is seeking a Business Analyst to support a federal small business office. This role owns program execution reporting and communications monitoring and is accountable for delivering recurring performance products on schedule. The Business Analyst monitors and distributes communications from multiple sources, compiles salient facts for leadership awareness, and delivers weekly and semi-annual reporting products that track small business participation and subcontracting performance. What You Will Do Support daily monitoring and distribution of communications from multiple sources, including electronic mailboxes, public media, and internal and/or external government sources. Compile and distribute a regular listing of salient facts and key takeaways derived from daily monitoring. Monitor and disseminate industry-related news items of interest to small business stakeholders or program managers. Own and deliver the weekly Small Business Achievement Report of program execution, tracking small business participation goals. Own and deliver the Semi-Annual Subcontracting Achievement Report, tracking subcontracting performance against subcontracting goals. Coordinate inputs, definitions, and quality checks with a part-time Data Analyst to ensure reporting products are accurate, consistent, and repeatable. Produce leadership-ready summaries and recommendations that translate performance information into clear insights. Identify process improvements that strengthen reporting quality, usefulness, and timeliness. What You Will Bring (Required) 5–7 years of relevant experience in analysis, reporting, performance measurement, or program support. Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear executive-ready summaries. Ability to manage deadlines and work across multiple stakeholders.
