Clinical Nurse II Antepartum / Labor and delivery

Albany Medical Center, a leading healthcare system combining a premier hospital and medical college, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II for our Antepartum and Labor and Delivery unit. This role will focus on providing top-tier prenatal and childbirth-related care, utilizing the latest medical education, biomedical research, and patient care methodologies. Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for antepartum patients. Monitor fetal well-being and maternal vital signs during labor and delivery. Educate and support patients and families through the labor and delivery process.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives.

Maintain patient records and report any anomalies to physician's attention. Strong clinical skills in antepartum and labor & delivery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to make quick and accurate assessments. Proficiency in electronic medical record systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

BLS/CPR certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred but not required.
