Clinical Nurse II: E3 General medicine/surgical unit

Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare services, is seeking a Clinical Nurse II to join our dynamic team on the E3 General Medicine/Surgical Unit. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance your professional skills in a state-of-the-art facility that integrates medical education, research, and patient care. Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the General Medicine/Surgical Unit. Assess patient conditions and administer prescribed medications and treatments.

Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other medical professionals to develop and implement care plans. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and health management. Monitor patient recovery and adjust care plans as necessary.

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality. Participate in professional development and continuing education activities. Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform under pressure.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on team collaboration. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ability to educate and empower patients and their families.

Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
