We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will support the production process and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
CNC Machinist
The CNC Machinist operates CNC machines, router machining centers, panel saws, and bore and dowel machines. The CNC Machinist is expected to start and observe machine operations for malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, to prevent quality issues and production loss. Routine maintenance is expected to be performed by the CNC Machinist. The CNC Machinist verifies the conformance of the finished product to the 'Work Order' to ensure the finished product meets specifications. If measurements are off, maintenance on the machine or collaboration with team members may be required to hand the out-of-tolerance machining.
Schedule:
6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday - Friday (Saturdays as scheduled)
Mandatory over-time up to 4:30 PM
Job Responsibilities:
• Operate CNC, router, panel saw, bore and dowel machine
• Perform routine maintenance on the machine as directed by the Production Manager
• Inspect products utilizing precision measuring tools.
• Identify any quality issues with the product prior to and after trimming of the product occurs
• Troubleshoot during machine operation, upon finding discrepancies in measurements.
• Interfacing with maintenance, engineering, programming, production manager, and production personnel as necessary.
Job Qualifications:
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more per day
• Ability to lift up to frequently lift and carry up to 10lbs, regularly up to 25lbs, occasionally lift up to 50lbs, and the ability to perform team lifts for products over 50lbs
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled working environment.
• Ability to regularly bend, stoop, kneel, and squat
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
• Capable of proficiently utilizing and reading calipers, scales, a tape measure, and measuring jigs.
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Education Required:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years' experience as a CNC Operator (Preferred but not required)
