Why This Role Exists\n
This role exists to support ongoing aerospace manufacturing and flight test programs at AeroTEC’s AS9100D-certified Manufacturing Center in Moses Lake, WA.
\n
AeroTEC supports aircraft design, testing, instrumentation, certification, and advanced propulsion programs. This CNC Machinist position plays a key role in producing precision components, tooling, and experimental parts used in real-world aerospace development and electrification programs.

This is not commodity production machining — it is hands-on aerospace manufacturing tied directly to engineering and flight test operations.

The Work You’ll Be Doing\n
In this role, you will:
\n
\nSet up and operate CNC milling machines (3-, 4-, and 5-axis)\nCreate and run CNC programs using Siemens NX\nSelect tooling, set offsets, and verify workholding\nFabricate precision parts for aircraft tooling and models\nMachine components supporting flight test programs\nAssemble aircraft parts and subassemblies\nPerform first-article and in-process inspections\nTroubleshoot machining issues and adjust feeds/speeds as needed\nSupport warehouse tooling and fabrication projects\nResearch and complete purchase requisitions for project needs\nPerform fabrication work including welding when required\n\n
Work is high-mix and project-driven, supporting experimental aerospace applications.

\n5+ years of CNC machining experience (milling)\n3+ years of CNC programming experience\nExperience with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis milling machines\nStrong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills\nAbility to perform setups independently\nExperience holding aerospace-level tolerances\nComfortable lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally\nReliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented\n\n
Preferred:

\nFormal coursework or certification in CNC Machining\nCNC Programming certification\nAerospace manufacturing experience\nExperience supporting prototype or experimental programs\n\n
