Cnc Machinist

A growing machine shop is seeking CNC Machinist with knowledge and experience on CNC machines operator and/or set-up. Be proficient in the use of Mills or lathe. Programming abilities are a plus - abilities to read, understand, and edit existing programs. Able to maintain close tolerances and achieving a high finish standard in a production. Experience in working with a vast array of materials including Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Brass, Copper; Steel among other types of metals. Possible direct placement or temp-to-hire. Day shift.

Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery per the appropriate work instructions.

• Perform set-up and programming (if trained)

• Use and maintain a variety of precision measuring / inspection equipment

• Complete 1st piece inspection of part and maintain consistent quality checks

• Conduct daily machine maintenance of machine and equipment and maintain records.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience with CNC machining and operation. Set-up and programming helpful

• Knowledge of G and M codes

• Able to read blueprints and sketches

• Understanding of tight tolerances and measurement of machined parts.

• Must be able to follow all safety rules

• Able to work independently, be organized and detail oriented, able to effectively communicate with coworkers, customers, and vendors and solid work ethics.

Salary Description

$26 to $38 an hour
