Tecomet is expanding its CNC team in Lansing, MI, and looking for motivated, detail-oriented machinists to join our high-performance production floor. As a CNC Machinist I, you’ll play a key role in manufacturing critical components for the medical, aerospace, and defense industries — all while learning from experienced machinists in a clean, organized, and collaborative shop environment.

The Work You’ll Be Doing\n
In this role, you will:
\n
\nOperate CNC machines within specified tolerances following detailed work instructions\nPerform basic tool changes, offset adjustments, and machine checks\nConduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other gauges\nRead blueprints and verify part conformity\nPerform hand deburring and finishing operations\nComplete job cards and maintain accurate production records\nSupport quality, safety, and productivity goals\nFollow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and 5S standards\nEscalate issues to leads or supervisors as needed\n\n

✅ What We’re Looking For\n
Required:
\n
\nHigh school diploma or GED\n1–2 years experience operating CNC machines\nBasic understanding of machining processes and tools\nAbility to read blueprints and measurement tools\nDependability, punctuality, and attention to detail\n\n
Preferred:

\nCertificate or associate’s degree in machining or manufacturing\nPrior experience in a regulated production environment\nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing or 5S\n\n
