This position plays a key role in delivering precision machined components across a wide range of industries, supporting both short-run and repeat production work.

The Work You’ll Be Doing\n

In this role, you will:

\n

\nSet up and operate CNC milling machines, primarily Haas VF-4 and VF-11\nWork directly from blueprints to plan machining methods and sequences\nSelect tooling, fixtures, and workholding independently\nProgram and edit CNC programs at the machine as required\nRun high-mix, small production jobs typical of a job shop environment\nPerform in-process inspection to verify part accuracy\nMaintain above-average attention to detail on all parts\nPerform secondary operations such as deburring while machines are running\n\n

This is a hands-on, self-sufficient machinist role — not just a button-pushing position.

This shop blends modern CNC equipment with heavy-duty manual machinery in a true fabrication + machining environment.

What We’re Looking For\n

Required:

\n

\n5+ years of CNC machining experience\nExperience setting up and running CNC mills independently\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints\nAbility to program some of your own work\nStrong understanding of tooling selection and setup\nHigh attention to detail\nSelf-motivated and reliable\n\n

Preferred:

\n

\nExperience with Haas controls\nExperience in a small job shop environment\nAbility to manage multiple jobs and priorities\n\n
