Job Summary:
  • We are currently Hiring for CNC Machinist at our Cudahy, Wisconsin (suburb of Milwaukee, WI) facility.
  • s a CNC Lathe Operator, you will set-up and operate Vertical Turning Centers (lathes) and will be an integral part of a successful team thatis responsible for producing products and machined components in military, aerospace, oil/gas and other applications.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC Lathes to product products / components that range in size from 4 inches in diameter/short length to 65 inch diameter/long length.
  • s a CNC Machinist you are also responsible for ensuring all quality and safety standards; and maintaining equipment and supplies with this CNC department that is crucial in helping ATI meet production goals and objectives.

  • This is a weekend shift position with the option of working weekend days 6:00am-6:00pm or weekend nights 6:00pm-6:00am Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Scheduled for 36 hours, get paid for 40.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Have a minimum of 5 years CNC machining experience,,
  • Knowledge of set-up and programing machines.
  • Those with experience machining large parts and working with different types of metals will be most successful and experience in aerospace manufacturing is a big plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Follows engineering setup charts to perform initial assembly of tools.
  • Interprets program to install all tools in the machine and establish offsets and adjust machine offsets to ensure part conformance.
  • Performs complete machining of first piece and verifies all dimensions on machines to corresponds with drawing.
  • Use instrumentation and gauges, along with shop tools to verity operational drawing requirements and part conformance.
  • Read and understand basic technical drawings / blueprints to produce parts that meet specifications.
  • Measure and document dimensions during operations and maintain appropriate machining and operations records.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • t least 5 years of previous CNC operation experience.
  • Experience as a CNC Vertical Turning Center Operator/Machinist.
  • Experience with metal forgings.
  • Machining Certification.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of basic machining principles, GD&T, and ability to read blueprints.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use hand tools, measuring instruments, and gauges to ensure proper setups and machining operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
