CNC Machinist Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating CNC machinery and a strong understanding of machining processes. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various materials, particularly in plastics injection molding. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for producing high-quality components while adhering to safety standards and company policies. Responsibilities Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications and blueprints. Set up tooling and fixtures for machining operations. Conduct regular inspections of finished products using precision measuring instruments and coordinate measuring machines. Perform basic math calculations to ensure accuracy in measurements and adjustments. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications. Assemble components as required, ensuring quality standards are met. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency. Requirements Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role. Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes is highly desirable. Proficient in using Mazatrol programming systems. Strong understanding of tooling setups and adjustments. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Forklift operation experience is a plus but not mandatory. Knowledge of GD&T principles is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
