The Division of Radiation Oncology (DRO), National Cancer Centre Singapore is the largest public academic Radiation Oncology department in Singapore. We recently moved to a new building, provide integrated radiation, medical oncology, surgical oncology, oncologic imaging and palliative care services to patients from within Singapore and around the region.

DRO is fully equipped with 10 linear accelerators, 4 full rotation proton gantries, 3 CT simulators, 1 high dose rate brachytherapy and 1 IORT that allows the radiation oncologist to choose the best technology to suit their patients. Our department sees more than 4000 new cases annually, and we expect the number to grow in the future. We are affiliated with Duke’s-NUS Medical School and is a training hospital for doctors, physicists, radiation therapists and nurses in addition to medical students. We have a strong foundation in research and is well known internationally for our work in nasopharyngeal cancer.

We are inviting interested applicants for a full-time position of Consultant Radiation Oncologist on a renewable contract. Specifically, we are interested to meet candidates with experience in radiotherapy management of patients with:

• Paediatric cancer
• Breast cancer
• CNS tumours
• An additional subspecialty expertise may be considered, and applicants are welcome to discuss this with the Division

The successful candidate will:

• Be part of a dynamic team that delivers high quality radiation services to our patients.
• Develop clinical programs for radiation therapy and to lead the development of clinical policies and procedures using evidence-based radiation services.
• Collaborate with other clinical professionals to develop a multidisciplinary care model.
• Train and mentor fellow clinical professionals.

In addition, you will be expected to participate in teaching, audit and research.

Requirements:

• Basic and Postgraduate Medical Degree
• Experience in Proton Beam Therapy would be advantageous.
