VOLO Construction is a growing company specializing in heavy industry. Its mission is to provide construction management services and deliver EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, as well as offer pre-operational verification (POV) and commissioning services for production units.
VOLO Construction is the construction subsidiary of GCM Corpo, an engineering consulting firm active in numerous industrial sectors, where more than 500 professionals work across our offices throughout Canada.

We are currently seeking a Contract and Procurement Managerwho will be seconded to a major client in the manufacturing sector in Saguenay. The Project & Construction Director is responsible for the full management of assigned projects, from the pre-construction phase through to final commissioning. They ensure that schedule, budget, and health & safety objectives are met, while mobilizing internal teams and stakeholders toward successful project delivery.

On a daily basis you will have to:
  • Education in procurement, administration, or a related field, with practical knowledge of legal and commercial aspects of procurement
  • College diploma with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in procurement management
  • Knowledge of the industrial sector (petrochemicals, mining, metals, etc.)
  • Familiarity with procurement terms and conditions (Incoterms) and applicable laws
  • Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written
  • Mobility and flexibility
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Strong sense of accountability and commitment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and report on results
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
Employment Type: Full-time contract (3-6 months, with potential for extension)
