Data Analyst

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with raw, unstructured data
• Willingness to learn and improve speed and efficiency in data tasks
• Good communication skills to explain data insights clearly

Key Responsibilities

• Work extensively with Advanced Excel and Google Sheets for data cleaning, transformation, and analysis
• Use advanced formulas and functions such as:
• XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP / HLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH
• IF, IFS, ARRAYFORMULA
• QUERY, FILTER, TEXT, DATE functions
• Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Highlighting and Removing Duplicates
• Fetch and refresh data using Power Query, including:
• Importing data from online sources (URLs, CSVs, Google Sheets, APIs where applicable)
• Basic data transformations using Power Query
• Prepare interactive dashboards using:
• Pivot Tables & Pivot Charts in Excel and Google Sheets
• Power BI dashboards (basic to intermediate level)
• Understand data structures, relationships, and common columns (keys) across datasets
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data before reporting

Mandatory Skills

• Advanced Excel (hands-on, practical knowledge is mandatory)
• Google Sheets (Advanced formulas & functions)
• Power Query (Basic) – ability to fetch and transform data from online sources
• Dashboard creation using Pivot Tables (Excel & Google Sheets)

Good to Have (Plus Skills)

• Power BI – basic dashboard building and data visualization
• Python (Basic level) with working knowledge of:
• Pandas
• NumPy
• OpenPyXL
• SQL – basic queries (SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY)

Note

This role is skill-focused. Candidates should be able to practically demonstrate Excel, Google Sheets and data-handling capabilities during the interview or assessment.
