Data Engineer

Role OverviewWe are looking for a Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into reliable, accessible datasets and supporting business teams with accurate and timely data for decision-making.

Key ResponsibilitiesConvert raw data into clean, structured, and usable datasetsBuild and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQLDevelop and manage workflows using Apache AirflowManage data repositories, data stores, and integration platformsSupport development of data architecture on Alibaba Cloud (e.g., OSS, MaxCompute, DataWorks, RDS)Ensure data availability, accessibility, and basic security practicesDevelop tools, workflows, and dashboards to collect and integrate data from multiple sourcesMonitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure reliabilityCollaborate with internal teams to understand and deliver data requirements

Key RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fieldMinimum 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data-related roleProficiency in Python and SQLExperience using Apache Airflow is preferredFamiliarity with Alibaba Cloud ecosystem is a plusBasic understanding of:ETL/ELT processesData architecture conceptsRelational and non-relational databasesAbility to handle data from multiple sources
