Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time position is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students, serving the K-12 population in the Nashville area suburb to the north. This role involves providing tailored educational services based on student needs across multiple school sites within the district, with assignments varying by placement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to support student success.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with district policies regarding DHH services.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Tennessee Department of Education teaching certification with a focus on Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
  • Experience working with K-12 DHH students preferred.
  • Ability to work full-time hours, Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week.
  • Successful completion of required background checks and fingerprinting as mandated by the district.

Location and Schedule:

  • Onsite position located in Pleasant View, Tennessee, within the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.
  • Contract period runs from ASAP through May 20, 2026.
