Job Title: Design Engineer – Civil (Substation)

Location: Chennai

Experience: 3 – 7 Years

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer with experience in substation projects to join our team. The role involves working on power infrastructure projects within the Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) domain, focusing on design, coordination, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform civil and structural design for substation projects (AIS/GIS)
• Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
• Coordinate with site teams and cross-functional departments to ensure design accuracy and execution
• Engage with clients for design approvals and technical discussions
• Provide support during tendering, including design optimization and cost-effective solutions

Technical Requirements:

• Experience in AIS/GIS substation design
• Strong knowledge of RCC and steel structural design
• Exposure to foundation design, gantry structures, and control buildings
• Familiarity with relevant design standards, codes, and site conditions

Tools & Software:

• STAAD
• ETABS
• AutoCAD

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in substation or power infrastructure projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
