Worksource Oregon is partnering with a Hillsboro, OR employer providing the highest quality of person-centered support for in-home and community-based services by offering a wide range of services such as in-home support, day supports, positive behavior supports and 24-hour residentials supports.

JOB DUTIES
- Perform all support needs listed in the Individuals' Service Agreement and/or ISP
- Seek to preserve the health and safety of Individuals supported. Implement life-safety techniques (e.g.: CPR, First Aid, Protective Physical Interventions (if applicable), and general protection from harm, etc.).
- Seek to ensure that all support and training provided to Individuals supported is respectful, dignifying, sensitive, and personalized to the characteristics of the person served and consistent with best practice.
- Required to complete the mandatory 24 hours of training yearly, and any additional trainings required for the role/support needs of the Individual you are supporting.
- Advocate for and be an appropriate role model for all Individuals and co-staff.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the Individual supported,
their support network, employees, and representatives from other agencies.
- Speak and act in a pleasant, respectful, diplomatic fashion with Individuals supported, families and guardians, employees, representatives, and any other contacts while carrying out job duties.
- Display a respectful and professional demeanor while representing the agency in a professional manner, including speaking positively about the agency, its personnel, products, and services.
- Must ensure completion of required documentation, for each shift worked, on supports provided, how they were provided, and any support towards accomplishing goals listed in the Individual's SA and/or ISP.
- Follow written behavior support strategies, including completion of all written documentation requirements if applicable.
- Provide activities or programs for Individuals during work shift.
- Know and/or learn and follow emergency procedures for fire, tornadoes, accidents and other such circumstances per guidelines and policies to ensure the welfare of each Individual.
- Assist in shopping, meal preparation, and clean-up when on duty.
- Work cooperatively with all support and management employees.
- Report promptly, any instances of observed or suspected mistreatment, abuse, or neglect of any Individual to proper authorities and supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years or older
- Maneuver up to 50 lbs
- CPR/First Aid certification
PREFERENCES
- Valid driver's license
- 1 year experience working with Individuals in the intellectual and developmental
disabilities field
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge and/or experience with Individual Support Plans (ISP), Person
Centered Approaches, and Positive Behavior Supports
