We are looking for an experienced Director of Finance to lead and manage the financial operations of our non-profit organization in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial planning, compliance, and reporting to ensure fiscal health and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping financial strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.


Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, auditing, and reporting processes.

• Develop, monitor, and manage annual operating and capital budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

• Provide accurate and timely financial reports, including variance analyses and projections, to leadership and the board.

• Supervise revenue cycle activities, including billing, reconciliation, accounts receivable, and participant invoicing.

• Ensure compliance with Medicare Part D regulations, including bid development, reporting, and pharmacy benefit monitoring.

• Lead external audit processes by preparing schedules, analyses, and engaging with auditors.

• Collaborate with leadership to provide financial oversight for expansion projects, capital investments, and new care sites.

• Manage supply chain and procurement to optimize costs and streamline operations.

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to drive efficiency and mitigate risks.

• Recruit, train, and mentor finance team members to promote growth and accountability.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within a non-profit or healthcare setting.
• Proven expertise in annual budgeting, month-end close processes, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Experience with Medicare and Medicaid audits and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in cash flow forecasting and managing complex budget processes.
• Familiarity with healthcare administration and regulatory reporting.
• Skilled in using financial systems and electronic medical records for billing and compliance.
• Leadership abilities to manage and develop finance teams effectively.
