Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (design)

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (Design) with strong expertise in electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation, along with coordination across multiple disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.

• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), load calculations, cable sizing, panel layouts, LT/HT distribution systems, earthing and lighting layouts.
• Develop electrical layouts, cable tray routing drawings, and power distribution designs.
• Design and review instrumentation layouts, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, control panel drawings, I/O lists, instrument index, and cable schedules.
• Coordinate PLC, SCADA, and automation system integration activities.
• Select and specify field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.
• Support preparation of BOQ, technical specifications, and material selection.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and other engineering teams for integrated design execution.
• Review vendor drawings and technical submissions for compliance and accuracy.
• Ensure adherence to relevant electrical/instrumentation codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Maintain proper drawing documentation, revision control, and technical records.

• Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in Electrical & Instrumentation design.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, instrumentation systems, and automation controls.
• Experience in preparing technical drawings and design documentation.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of EPLAN/ETAP/other design software is an advantage.
• Understanding of electrical safety standards and industry codes.
• Ability to handle multi-disciplinary coordination and technical problem-solving.

• B.Tech / BE in Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Power / Electrical & Automation or related discipline.

• Exposure to industrial/plant/project environments preferred.
• Strong analytical and technical decision-making ability.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
