Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong expertise in electrical systems design, project coordination, and client management. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of HV/LV systems, international and Indian codes, and end-to-end design processes across all project stages. This role requires strong technical proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Design & Calculations

• Perform detailed load calculations and develop electrical system designs for HV, MV, and LV networks.
• Define infrastructure requirements including load estimation, substation design, MV cable sizing and routing, transformer and generator sizing, and electrical room planning.
• Prepare reports, technical documentation, and engineering deliverables across design stages (CD, SD, DD, IFC, etc.).
• Carry out earthing and lightning protection system design.

Systems & Equipment Selection

• Select appropriate cables, breakers, switchgear, and protective devices based on project requirements and industry standards.
• Design low-voltage distribution systems, including cable containment, routing, sizing, UPS systems, and other backup power solutions (UPS, ECBS, etc.).
• Design and review ELV, AC/DC distribution systems, and fire alarm systems.

Codes, Standards & Compliance

• Ensure all designs comply with relevant Indian and international standards such as NBC, IS, NFPA, IEC, NEC, and other project-specific specifications.
• Review drawings, specifications, and design reports for accuracy and compliance.

Project & Client Coordination

• Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and on-site activities to ensure smooth execution.
• Participate in design review meetings and present design concepts, updates, and technical solutions.

Software Proficiency

• Utilize engineering software tools for design calculations, modeling, drafting, and documentation.
• Proficient in electrical design/calculation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical design engineering, project management, and client handling.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, engineering software, and industry best practices.
