About the Role

Valley Engineering Pvt Ltd is looking for a seasoned Electrical Design Engineer to join our core engineering team. This role is designed for a professional who bridges the gap between complex client requirements and high-quality execution. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design of electrical systems, ensuring that every panel and schematic meets both international standards and specific project tenders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Drafting: Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams (SLD), and layout drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Tender & Compliance: Thoroughly analyze Tender Documents to extract technical specifications, scope of work, and compliance requirements.
• Component Selection: Identify and select appropriate electrical components (Switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, Protection Relays, Busbars) that are fit-for-purpose for custom Electrical Control Panels.
• Team Coordination: Act as the technical point of contact among the team to decode the requirements and translate them into functional engineering designs.
• Bill of Materials (BOM): Prepare accurate and cost-effective BOMs for procurement and production teams.
• Technical Support: Provide guidance to the shop floor during the panel assembly and testing phases to ensure design integrity.
• FAT Documentation: Draft comprehensive Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) protocols and checklists. You will be responsible for defining the testing criteria to ensure the panel meets all functional and safety requirements before shipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 5 to 10 years of proven experience in electrical design, specifically within industrial automation or control systems.
• Software Proficiency: Expert-level command over AutoCAD (2D/3D); experience with EPLAN or similar electrical CAD software is a plus.
• Technical Knowledge: * In-depth understanding of Control & Power Panel design.
• Strong grasp of Indian and International electrical standards (IEC, IEEE, UL/CSA etc.).
• Knowledge of thermal calculation and busbar sizing within enclosures.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex technical tenders and identify potential design risks or cost-saving opportunities.
• Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
