Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Modeller – MEP to join our engineering team in Jamshedpur. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Revit MEP (Electrical) with a focus on cable tray design, cable routing, junction box (JB) layout, and electrical equipment modelling. Proficiency in Navisworks for clash detection and AutoCAD for drafting is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop accurate 3D electrical MEP models using Revit, adhering to project specifications and industry standards.
• Model cable trays, cable routing, junction boxes, and electrical equipment layout for buildings and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing teams for effective MEP integration.
• Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks Manage.
• Review and interpret electrical schematics, SLDs, and technical drawings.
• Generate detailed electrical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Support project teams in BIM coordination meetings and model reviews.
• Ensure compliance with company and client-specific BIM standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with design engineers to update models as per design changes.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as an Electrical Modeller in MEP/BIM projects.
• Expert in Revit (Electrical discipline) with hands-on experience in large-scale MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of:
• - Cable tray routing & supports
• - Cable management and JB placement
• - Electrical room layouts
• - Electrical equipment modelling
• Proficient in Navisworks (clash detection and coordination workflows).
• Skilled in AutoCAD for 2D electrical drafting.
• Good understanding of MEP coordination, BIM workflows, and industry standards (e.g., IEC, IS codes).
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in industrial or infrastructure MEP projects.
• Familiarity with BIM 360 or other common data environments (CDEs).
• Basic understanding of electrical load calculations or design principles (not mandatory).
