Electrical Site Engineer

We are looking for a responsible and technically sound Electrical Engineer to manage and supervise electrical systems and compliance at our mining operations in Kurmitar, Odisha. The role is critical to ensure uninterrupted production, statutory safety compliance, and reliable operation of heavy mining equipment, crushers, screen plants, substations, and infrastructure.

The candidate must be capable of working independently at site and coordinating with DGMS, OMC/Client representatives, and internal operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Operations & Maintenance

• Maintenance of HT/LT panels, transformers, substations and overhead lines

• Electrical maintenance of crushers, screen plants, conveyors & mining machinery

• Preventive maintenance planning & breakdown troubleshooting

• Power load management and energy optimization

2. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with DGMS and electrical safety regulations

• Maintain earthing, lightning protection, and statutory records

• Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions

• Supervise electrical contractors and technicians

3. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain log books, shutdown records & inspection registers

• Liaison with Electrical Inspectorate & statutory authorities

• Prepare electrical drawings, load charts & maintenance schedules

4. Site Coordination

• Coordinate with mechanical, mining & operations teams

• Support production team in minimizing downtime

• Supervise installation of new electrical equipment & expansion works

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Electrical Engineering

• Valid Electrical Supervisor License (Mandatory / Strongly Preferred as per Odisha regulations)

• Minimum 3–8 years experience in mines / crusher / heavy industry / cement / steel plants

• Experience in mining or crusher plant electrical systems

• Knowledge of DGMS norms

• Experience in HT line & transformer maintenance

• Ability to handle manpower and vendors independently

• Immediate joiners preferred
