Job Summary

A Nurse Practitioner who performs the duties of a provider in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with the Maryland Scope of practice Act and Best Remedy Urgent Care’s policies & procedures, as well as national regulatory licensing guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities

Perform thorough physical examination Assess and diagnose patient’s health statusOrder and interpret diagnostic test resultsFormulate patient care plans and prescribe appropriate treatmentProvide education to patients regarding the results of diagnostic studies and counseling to patients about their careDocument findings and care renderedPerform duties associated with LXMO program with clinic approved trainingComplete and maintain occupational health compliance training and certifications as requestedOther duties as assigned Preferred Skills and Experience

Strong visual, verbal, written and typed communication skills Strong capabilities in collaborative approaches with other advanced practice providersAbility to provide guidance to other medical staffAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to make independent decisions regarding patient careExperienced in the diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditionsBasic working knowledge of urgent care setting simple procedures (sutures, splints, I&D)Working knowledge of AthenaHealth EHR strongly preferredProficiency with computers and ability to use requisite tools, systems, technology, and equipment in the collection of patient data.Radiology/Imaging ExperienceEducationNurse Practitioner- Masters or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited institution

Certifications and Licenses

Have and maintain a current, valid state of Maryland NP License, License must be in good standingHave and maintain a valid DEA License and CDS certificationHave and maintain a current, valid state of Maryland RN licenseAt least 2 years’ experience as a Nurse PractitionerBLS certification required Physical Demands
