Fashion Designer

Skyria

Faridabad, HaryanaFull-timeMid LevelOn-site

Job Description

Job Summary:

Skyria is a women’s activewear brand built on size inclusivity, functionality, and style. We are a lean, founder-led startup operating from our own manufacturing facility in Faridabad. We are looking for a highly proactive, versatile Fashion Designer to take full ownership of the design lifecycle. As our only designer, you won't just be sketching; you will be the bridge between a creative concept and a finished garment. This is a role for someone who loves the "maker" culture and wants to see their designs move from the screen to the stitching floor in real-time.

Key Responsibilities:

 1. Design & Development

  • Conceptualize and design collections for Skyria (Activewear) and our two upcoming labels (Office & Everyday wear).
  • Create detailed Tech Packs including construction details, measurement charts, and BOM.

2. Sourcing & Fabric R&D

  • Hands-on sourcing of technical fabrics (Scuba, Ponte, Interlock, etc.) and trims from local markets and suppliers.
  • Evaluate fabric performance (stretch, recovery, GSM, colorfastness) to ensure it meets our quality standards.

3. Sampling & Production Coordination

  • Work directly with our in-house cutting and tailoring team to develop initial samples.
  • Conduct fit sessions, identify pattern corrections, and ensure the final "Golden Sample" is production-ready.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: 0–3 years (Experience in Activewear/Stretch fabrics is a huge plus).
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of fabric properties and garment construction.
  • The "Founder" Mindset: Since you are the sole designer, you need to be self-managed, organized, and comfortable working in a factory-cum-office environment.

What can you expect:

  • Massive creative autonomy, you will define the visual language of our new labels.
  • A transparent, collaborative culture working closely with the co-founders.
