Job Summary:

An AI and machine-learning technology startup, is keen to hire a qualified Chartered Accountant with 1–2 years of post-qualification experience for the role of Finance Manager – Finance & Compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing compliance, payroll, accounting operations, and financial transactions. The role will also involves in collaborate directly with engineering and product teams to build financial features in an AI tool.

An AI and machine learning technology startup founded in 2016 by an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. The company develops AI-powered platforms that automate complex enterprise workflows using trusted data, business rules, and advanced AI models. In recent years, it has raised $2.2 million in seed funding from investors.

Location: HQ in Bengaluru (Remote role)

Designation: Finance Manager – Finance & Compliance

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory regulations.
• Liaise with statutory, tax, and internal auditors.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations.
• Prepare financial statements and assist in budgeting and variance analysis.
• Process end-to-end payroll, including salary computation, reimbursements, statutory deductions, and final settlements.
• Ensure payroll compliance and timely statutory remittances.
• Prepare and submit SOFTEX forms for software export transactions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to relevant authorities.
• Assist in strengthening SOPs for financial governance.
• Provide financial domain expertise to define data structures and transaction workflows within the AI platform while ensuring compliance is embedded into product features.
• Support integration of accounting data with AI agents for reporting, reconciliation, and analytics.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve financial automation modules and its testing process

Role Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and taxation laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software and good communication skills
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of ERP systems and data workflows
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technology teams.

Good to have:

• Stakeholder management skills.
• Interest in AI-driven financial automation (preferred).

Education: Qualified CA

Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience

Working days: Monday to Friday (Remote)
