About The Role

This is not a data-entry accountant role. This is not limited to compliance and Zoho Books management. This role exists to:

  • Bring financial discipline across all MAVIP SBUs
  • Enable data-backed decision making
  • Protect margins and cash flow
  • Support strategic growth, acquisitions, and platform investments

The Finance Manager will act as the commercial conscience of the organization.

Each SBU has different cost structures, different revenue cycles, different margin profiles


This role ensures:

  • Profitability visibility at SBU-level
  • Healthy cash flow across projects
  • Financial clarity for leadership decisions


Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Control & Governance

  • Maintain accurate books and financial records
  • Ensure statutory compliance (GST, TDS, ROC, etc.)
  • Coordinate with CA and auditors
  • Manage taxation and regulatory filings


2. SBU-Level Financial Visibility

  • Create monthly SBU-wise P&L statements
  • Track revenue, gross margins, contribution margins
  • Analyze cost structures and flag inefficiencies
  • Identify margin leakage in projects


3. Commercial Oversight of Projects

  • Review client proposals for pricing logic and margin protection
  • Track project profitability
  • Ensure billing discipline and timely invoicing
  • Monitor receivables and collections


4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

  • Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts
  • Monitor payables and receivables
  • Ensure liquidity discipline across SBUs


5. Strategic & Growth Support

  • Support budgeting and annual planning
  • Assist in acquisition due diligence (if required)
  • Support platform investment modeling
  • Build financial dashboards for CEO


Required Experience & Profile

Mandatory

  • 6–10 years in finance roles
  • Strong understanding of P&L, cash flow, balance sheets
  • Experience in agency / services / project-based business environments
  • High proficiency in Excel and financial modeling

Preferred

  • CA / CMA / MBA (Finance)
  • Experience working in multi-division companies
  • Exposure to budgeting and management reporting


What Will NOT Work

  • Pure compliance-only accountants
  • Candidates uncomfortable interacting with leadership
  • Finance professionals without commercial understanding
