Job Description

To manage and oversee the month-end close, general ledger, financial reporting, statutory & internal audits, internal controls, ICOFR testing, and banking activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting while building a strong and capable finance team.


Key Responsibilities

Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

  • Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, journal entries, and adjustments
  • Review and approve general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies within defined timelines
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements


General Ledger & Reconciliations

  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, chart of accounts, and subsidiary ledgers
  • Perform regular GL, bank, and intercompany reconciliations
  • Monitor updates in accounting standards and assess their impact on financial reporting


Statutory & Internal Audits

  • Prepare audit schedules and financial statements as per Ind AS
  • Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors and ensure timely closure of audit requirements
  • Ensure minimal audit observations and qualifications
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and company policies, supporting strong internal audit outcomes


ICOFR & Internal Controls

  • Establish and maintain a robust internal control framework
  • Drive effective ICOFR implementation and testing
  • Ensure minimal non-compliances and timely remediation of control gaps


Team Development & Leadership

  • Hire, train, and motivate finance team members
  • Identify training needs and facilitate technical and functional skill development
  • Conduct performance appraisals and support succession planning
  • Develop internal talent for key finance roles


Skills & Knowledge


Functional Skills

  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
  • Working knowledge of SAP and MS Excel
  • Strong aptitude and analytical abilities
