Job Title: Sr Executive-Finance

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-driven Sr Executive to manage financial reconciliation, transaction analysis, and variance identification across online marketplaces. The role requires strong analytical capability, financial acumen, and clear communication skills to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end financial reconciliation of marketplace transactions including orders, returns, refunds, commissions, fees, and settlements
• Analyse variances between marketplace reports, internal systems, and bank settlements to identify discrepancies
• Investigate short claims, excess claims, chargebacks, and missing payments; coordinate resolution with internal teams and marketplace partners
• Monitor marketplace deductions, penalties, and promotional adjustments to ensure financial accuracy
• Prepare reconciliation statements, MIS reports, aging trackers, and variance summaries
• Ensure timely closure of open recon items and follow up on pending claims
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal/external audits
• Communicate financial insights, issues, and resolutions clearly to stakeholders (finance, operations, leadership)
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, or CA Inter, or a related field
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts, reconciliations, and financial controls
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with large datasets and meet strict timelines
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving mindset with ownership of closure

Preferred Experience

• 1–4 years of experience in finance reconciliation, accounting operations, or marketplace finance
• Experience handling marketplace settlements (Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Myntra, etc.) is highly preferred
• Exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Tally, etc.) is a plus
• Background in e-commerce or retail finance is desirable
