Financial Controller

• Based in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne
• Lead a team of 5

This privately held global company operating across manufacturing, sales and service with their AUS/NZ head office in Keilor, are seeking a strategic Financial Controller to manage their finance function across AUS and NZ.
Partner with senior stakeholders across the globe and ensure best-in-class financial practices across the business.
As Financial Controller, you will:

• Oversee the full financial cycle—GL, AR, AP, payroll, and revenue recognition
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly & annual financial statements
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and variance‑analysis process
• Ensure compliance with global accounting standards & local regulations
• Design & enforce internal controls—including audit readiness
• Manage cash flow and banking functions
• Supervise and develop a capable finance team of five
• Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate investment and cost initiatives
• Coordinate external audits & liaise with tax advisors
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes

You will bring:

• CPA or CA qualification;
• Progressive finance experience, preferably in a global or multi‑entity environment with prior management of 3–7 direct reports
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial controls, and audit practices
• Excellent proficiency with ERP systems and Excel
• Strategic thinker with proactive problem‑solving, strong analytical skills
• Effective communicator—able to translate complex financial data for non‑finance leaders
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment
