About the role

We’re looking for an HR Generalist who will take full ownership of the people function at Nap Chief. This is not a backend HR role. You’ll be closely involved with employees, founders, and teams, shaping culture and employee experience every day.

• Own end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, exits, documentation, and compliance
• Manage the complete employee lifecycle from joining to exit
• Be the single point of contact for employee queries, concerns, and grievances
• Handle sensitive people matters with empathy, fairness, and confidentiality
• Own recruitment end to end, from understanding roles to closing positions
• Ensure strong culture and value alignment while hiring
• Build and drive employee engagement initiatives
• Identify people issues early and work on solutions proactively
• Improve HR processes to make them simple, clear, and reliable
• Work closely with founders on people decisions and culture building
• Ensure clear communication of company values, policies, and expectations

What we’re looking for

• 2–3 years of experience as an HR Generalist
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• High emotional intelligence and people sensitivity
• Ability to handle employee issues independently
• Good communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
• Comfortable having honest and sometimes difficult conversations
• Culture-first mindset with basic business understanding
• Problem-solver with a bias for action
