Job Description
- Onsite: 5 days per week in Edina, MN
- Work authorization requirements: US Citizen or GC holder
This role is critical to maintaining operational continuity while the organization transitions from manual processes toward increased automation over the next several years.
- Team Size: 3
- Execute daily HR processes including onboarding, employee changes, offboarding, and record maintenance
- Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS (ADP preferred)
- Serve as first point of contact for routine employee and manager inquiries
- Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures
- Manage recruiting process for hourly and salaried roles
- Coordinate job postings, interviews, and candidate communications
- Facilitate pre-employment processes (background checks, drug screens, physicals, etc.)
- Support hiring managers with scheduling and offer coordination
- Administer and track FMLA, STD, Workers' Compensation, ESST, and other leaves
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with MN employment laws
- Coordinate with payroll, managers, and third-party administrators
- File and manage Workers' Compensation claims and related documentation
- Support enrollments, changes, and employee communications
- Assist with Open Enrollment coordination and execution
- Partner with brokers, carriers, and plan administrators
- Maintain accurate benefits records and billing coordination
- Interpret and apply company policies (discipline, attendance, etc.)
- Respond to employee questions and guide managers on policy usage
- Escalate complex or sensitive issues to Senior HR Manager
- Support compliance reporting (EEO-1, OSHA, AAP, unemployment, etc.)
- Generate HR reports and assist with audits and data tracking
- Document and standardize HR processes (SOP creation is a key focus)
What We're Looking For
- 5-7 years of hands-on HR experience with strong operational execution
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Background in broad HR roles (not highly specialized or large corporate-only experience)
- Proven ability to manage multiple processes with minimal direction
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Experience with leave administration (FMLA required)
- Working knowledge of Minnesota employment laws
- HRIS experience (ADP preferred)
