Position Overview
The Human Resources Specialist supports the overall operations of the company by executing a wide range of HR functions in alignment with company policies and the Executive Management Team. This role is responsible for employee relations support, training coordination, new hire onboarding, recruitment support, compliance management, and other HR-related matters.
The position also plays a key role in employee relations by assisting with investigations, performance management processes, leaves of absence, workers' compensation, and training and development initiatives. The specialist collects and interprets employee data, serves as a liaison between staff and management, and ensures consistent application of company policies and employment laws.

Essential Functions
General HR Operations
- Manage employee data and maintain accurate personnel records in compliance with state and federal record keeping requirements
- Provide recruitment support to management teams.
- Facilitate the onboarding process, including paperwork completion and cultural orientation.
- Prepare, maintain, and organize essential HR documentation.
- Generate HR reports and ensure accuracy of HR data.
- Support compliance management and adherence to employment regulations.
- Assist with employee concerns, conflict resolution, and positive employee relations.
- Facilitation and delivery of employee training initiatives.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to leaders on HR best practices and employee relations
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Conduct investigations and recommend resolutions in compliance with company policy and applicable law
- Build strong working relationships across the organization.
- Advise leadership on performance management, recognition, and employment law considerations.
- Act as a liaison between staff and management with guidance from the HR Director.
- Receive and respond to employee concerns, issues, and complaints.
- Maintain employee files and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Stay informed on trends, tools, and best practices for staff development.
- Flexibility to work across different sectors of the department or company as needed.
- Strong listening skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Ability to use initiative and exercise sound independent judgment.

- Proficiency in Windows-based software and standard office equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and comply with complex statutes, regulations, and policies.
- Regular activities include grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, sitting, bending, twisting, and repetitive motions.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel frequently to company locations in Las Vegas, Henderson, Pahrump, and Mesquite, Nevada.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 20 pounds (or up to 50 pounds with assistance).
- Must be able to tolerate dusty environments, strong marijuana odors, and exposure to cannabis products.
Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of Human Resources experience in a high-volume setting including Employee Relations, Training and Development, and New Hire On-boarding.
- One (1) year of experience in training and development required.
- Two (2) years of Employee Relations experience preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nevada and Federal employment laws.
