Interventional Radiology Technologist

Description:

An interventional radiographer assists physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures, including angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, and more. Using sophisticated fluoroscopic equipment, responsible for capturing images of the blood vessels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adheres to AORN and AAMI Standards when working in the Operating Room and Sterile Processing.
• Displays working knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment/supplies.
• Follows department and hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Always maintains aseptic technique
• Works collaboratively as a member of the surgical team

Required Qualifications:

• Current ARRT certification, VI credential preferred
• RCIS credential also considered in conjunction with minimum Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
• Current State License to practice
• Vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved)
• Vaccinated for Influenza, seasonal
