Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Java Backend Engineer for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA(Hybrid) . You’ll design cloud‑based storage and streaming solutions while ensuring data quality and seamless collaboration across engineering teams. Rate Range: $60/hour to $64/hour; rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Java Backend Engineer Job Responsibilities Include Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Spark, Java, Python, and Scala. Develop optimized SQL queries and ETL processes to support data extraction, transformation, and loading. Implement cloud‑based data storage and processing solutions using AWS or GCP. Build and manage real‑time data streaming systems using MSK/Kafka. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all back‑end systems. Collaborate with data scientists and engineering teams to deliver reliable, data‑driven solutions. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). 5–10 years of experience in back‑end development with a strong focus on data engineering. Strong proficiency in Spark, Python, Scala, and Java. Expertise in SQL, cloud technologies (AWS/GCP), and real‑time streaming platforms like MSK/Kafka.
