Job Title: Staffing Coordinator – Healthcare Recruitment & Training
Location: Lexington, MA (Onsite; potential hybrid flexibility)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $65,000–$75,000 salary or $30–$40/hour (Contract-to-Perm or Direct Hire)
Position Overview
A growing healthcare services organization is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to lead the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of caregivers and direct care staff. This role plays a critical part in building a dependable, compassionate workforce that supports high-quality patient care, including individuals with memory care and senior support needs.
This is not a high-volume, fill-the-shift position. The focus is on hiring quality professionals who align with care standards and organizational values, while creating a strong pipeline to support ongoing staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring
- Source, interview, and hire qualified caregivers and healthcare support staff
- Assess candidates for professionalism, reliability, empathy, and cultural fit
- Build partnerships with training programs, certification schools, and community referral sources
- Ensure compliance with licensing, credentialing, and background check requirements
Training & Onboarding
- Coordinate and support new hire onboarding and orientation
- Assist with training programs, particularly related to dementia and senior care best practices
- Ensure new staff feel prepared and supported prior to assignment
Retention & Engagement
- Serve as a point of contact and advocate for caregivers and support staff
- Partner with leadership on performance feedback, recognition, and employee support
- Promote a positive, team-oriented culture to improve retention
Operational Coordination
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
- Work closely with scheduling and operations teams to anticipate staffing needs
- Participate in shared on-call coverage as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare staffing, caregiver recruitment, or clinical support hiring
- CNA, HHA, or similar healthcare background preferred
- Familiarity with dementia care or senior services strongly preferred
- Strong interviewing, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
