Job Description
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for driving Red Bull strategy and initiatives in national specialty retail accounts. The KAM owns all business activities and targets at national and market levels, and leads coordination and collaboration across multiple functional groups (sales, distribution, marketing, finance, operations, legal) at Headquarters (HQ) and Regional levels to ensure customer objectives and goals are achieved.

STRATEGY & EXECUTION
Execute short- and long-term strategies and activities consistent with RBNA objectives and standards. Allocate resources where investment has the highest return with strategically important customers. Lead business planning and budget processes for assigned customers. Monitor market trends and provide relevant consumer and competitive insights to the HQ Insights team. Build relationships with senior executives at customer HQs and key field personnel through regular business reviews to align Red Bull and customer strategies. Align internal Red Bull resources across all functional areas to achieve objectives.
EXECUTE RED BULL STANDARDS
Shelf & Distribution – Execute distribution on priority packages consistent with RBNA recommendations and ACV goals. Ensure account schematics reflect Red Bull standards for flow, package mix, Fair Space Index, and Strike Zone. Price – Sell Red Bull’s optimal price strategy using best practices and available tools. Customize presentations to meet customer needs and secure pricing and promotional programs aligned with Red Bull guidelines. Promotion – Execute annual promotion schedules in line with RBNA objectives and customer volume/share goals. Sell Red Bull standards and price points in ways that resonate with customer needs. Ensure all promotions include effective POS and incremental displays. Presence – Tailor sales pitches to achieve account goals while driving effective, permanent displays. Evaluate ROI before recommending POS or customized solutions. Execute displays according to RBNA guidelines.
BUDGET PLANNING
Build annual Customer Marketing Agreements and manage associated funds for each retailer. Track and evaluate trade investments to ensure the highest return on investment. Lead post-promotion analysis to evaluate promotional effectiveness and display execution. Analyze customer sales to define priorities and focus for the team at both national and regional levels.
REGIONAL & DP PARTNERSHIP
Establish a “wiring model” ensuring all regional management are connected with the Red Bull personnel managing HQ and regional business. Develop tools and business review templates to ensure data consistency with regional teams and Distributor Partners (DPs). Gather regular (e.g., quarterly) updates from marketing on achievements and highlights and share with the team, retailer HQs, and relevant regional personnel. Communicate regularly and work effectively with all internal and external stakeholders. Leverage marketing and finance input to develop strong plans and conceptual sells for retailer HQs. Coach the broader account team to build effective partnerships, programs, key retail relationships, and collaborative relationships with Red Bull and DP field personnel in each region.
Qualification & Knowledge Areas
- Exposure to national and regional accounts, Key/National Account Management
- Strong analytical skills and experience using internal and external data sources (i.e. Nielsen, Circana, CPM, Sales Data)
- Strategic thinking, planning, financial management, decision-making, sales presentation, & negotiation skills
- Innovative, solution-oriented mindset and ability to drive collaboration across diverse functional groups to achieve goals
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Creative mind, outgoing personality and friendly
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Valid Driver's License
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Fluent in English, additional languages considered an advantage
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $92,000 - 138,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
