Employees learn, innovate, and succeed by sharing knowledge, embracing diversity, and working together.How Will You Make an Impact?Manage a docket log with multiple deadlines for the litigation support departmentManage incoming/outgoing correspondences with law firms to ensure deadlines are calendared and metCommunicate with clients and law firms regarding discovery requestsManage appointment calendars, travel arrangements, expense reports, and assist partners with other deadlinesConduct new client phone screening, coordinate conference calls, and update clients and lawyers on status of casesOrganize and maintain case files, both in paper and electronic format, ensuring files are maintained accurately and easy to accessCoordinate with clients and attorneys to schedule meetings, assist with communications, and dispatch documents to law firmsPrepare mediation and trial binders for partnersBates label documents as requestedProofread reports for accuracy, correct grammar/punctuation, and issue final documents/reportsSchedule regular and special meetings; prepare and distribute agendas and pre-meeting materials, record and route minutes, and coordinate room, audio visual, and food arrangementsHow Will You Get Here?Minimum 2+ years of litigation support experienceParalegal degree or certificate requiredAssociate or bachelor's degree requiredExperience in accounting or finance environment is strongly preferredTeam player with excellent interpersonal skills and good judgementA demonstrated aptitude for dealing with a variety of situations and peopleAbility to multitask, work at a fast pace, and meet critical deadlinesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailMust possess excellent typing and grammatical skills, as well as strong analytical and demonstrated effective verbal, written, and listening skillsHigh degree of proficiency with business and communications software including Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookAble to quickly learn other software and database programs as neededCapable of maintaining strict confidentialityWhy Should You Apply?Firm Paid Medical Insurance (Free Employee Only Coverage on 2 of 3 plans)Voluntary Dental and Vision Insurance17 Annual Firm holidays, with extended breaks around July 4th and year end20 days PTOPaid Maternity and Parental Leave401(k) with Profit SharingDiscretionary Bonus ProgramHealth & Wellness ProgramPet InsuranceWhitley Penn is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
