Job Description
A Legal and Permit Officer in the healthcare business plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organization complies with all legal and regulatory requirements. Here’s a detailed job description for this position:
Responsibilities:1.Legal Compliance:Ensure the organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.Monitor changes in healthcare laws and regulations and update policies accordingly.Provide legal advice and support on various matters, including contracts, compliance, and regulatory issues.
2.Permit Management:Oversee the application, renewal, and compliance of all necessary permits and licenses.Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure timely submission and approval of permits.Maintain accurate records of all permits and licenses.
3.Contract Management:Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, including vendor contracts, client agreements, and partnership agreementsEnsure all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in LawMinimum of 3 years of experience in a legal or compliance roleStrong understanding of laws and regulationsExcellent communication and negotiation skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsStrong knowledge of health law and labor/employment lawExperience and strong understanding of licensing and permits, preferably in the clinic and healthcare sector
