Lighting Consultants use their creativity and product knowledge to actively listen to clients' needs and wants then amaze them by helping select the perfect product to meet the desired aesthetic and function. Lighting Consultants work with clients including interior designers, builders, architects, and homeowners to select both catalog and custom lighting on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients to determine lighting needs
• Direct lighting selection process including showroom display, catalogs, and custom product
• Educate yourself on a continual basis regarding technical and aesthetic aspects of lighting and fans
• Attend product knowledge meetings to expand understanding and knowledge
• Enter orders accurately in the computer system
• Follow orders throughout process to ensure accuracy
• Be reliable and consistent in attendance
• Maintain a professional appearance and language
• Cultivate relationships with clients to encourage repeat and referral business
• Maintain client files and notes in meticulous detail to ensure all needs are accounted for and met
• Assist in showroom appearance including potential display set up, bulb checks, and general neatness
• Full time position including some Saturdays (Closed Sundays)

Skills & Experience

• Sale experience (in home or design industry is a bonus)
• Outgoing and friendly personality
• Basic computer skills and internet navigation
• Reading/understanding blueprints a plus
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects is a must
• Strong written and conversational skills are a must
• Attention to detail
