Summary
The Material Operation Manager is responsible for managing the overall process of comprehensive material control, including inventory management, logistics, inbound / outbound control.

MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC. (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of BSA and PE systems, which are key parts to produce electric vehicles, based on state-of-the-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
[Change Parts Management]
• Compile material usage and inventory data for status reporting.
• Manage inventory levels and Engineering Change Order (ECO) schedules.
• Analyze part specifications, usage frequency, and external variables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production Control, QC, Procurement, Development).
• Monitor SAP for GR/GI/backlog status.
• Review invoices and packing slips for accuracy.
• Maintain material index in ERP or manually.
• Document and analyze material movement and usage.
• Complete supplier cumulative verification and monthly claims.
• Minimize inventory of balance-out parts and submit obsolescence claims when applicable.
• Ensure accuracy of material index system (System vs. Actual).
• Track material consumption for inventory closing and accuracy (weekly/monthly).
• Maintain GSCP supplier portal contents.
• Coordinate with IT for SAP system improvements.
• Resolve OS&D items in SAP and charge back to responsible parties.
• Return damaged parts to suppliers and dispose of worker-damaged items per approved methods.
[Logistics Planning]
• Making all areas of the logistics plan
• Maintain Logistics master information
• Manufacture Inbound Package (Design, Bidding, Test, Approval, communication with supplier)
• Design transportation route/mode/lead time / estimated cost
• Design logistics layout (area, stock level, location, logistics flow, feeding method, dock)
• Design logistics equipment (Rack, High-rack, special rack, cart, in-house package, dolly)
• Make all areas of the logistics process
• (Loading/unloading, Package waste, OS&D, feeding foolproof, count inspection)
• Calculate the number of workers, equipment, and each cost as needed
• Calculate the logistics cost impact of EC
• Maintain and improve logistics systems (MES, ERP, SC-Portal)
• Make a plan logistics cost budget
• Make a contingency plan for the supply chain
• Customer audit response
• Monthly/Weekly logistics report (stock level, logistic cost, downtime, shortage)
• Coordinate window time and assign dock
• Communication with the supplier about logistics (condition, claim, cooperation, etc.) • Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas
[Inbound Logistics]
• Ensure that shipping containers delivered to plant and off-site warehouses are returned to the port on time to avoid late fees
• Maintain window time plan vs actual
• Create transportation schedules for multiple daily shippers with 3PL
• Material must be loaded and unloaded promptly, avoiding premium waiting time charges
• Calling container with purchasing member
• Conduct emergency transportation
• Maintain logistic cost and enter slip in SAP
[Outbound Logistic]
• Plan and manage outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers or downstream facilities.
• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to prepare finished goods for shipment.
• Schedule outbound transportation with 3PL providers and ensure alignment with customer delivery windows.
• Monitor outbound shipment status and resolve any delays or issues proactively.
• Ensure proper documentation for outbound shipments (Invoice, Packing List, B/L, Delivery Note).
• Maintain accuracy of outbound inventory in SAP and ensure proper Goods Issue (GI) processing.
• Track and report outbound logistics KPIs such as delivery performance, shipping cost, and on-time rate.
• Manage packaging and labeling of outbound goods to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Handle customer claims related to outbound logistics (damage, delay, quantity mismatch).
• Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to align logistics operations with customer expectations.
• Conduct continuous improvement activities to optimize outbound logistics flow and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with export regulations and coordinate with customs brokers when applicable.
• Support customer audits and provide necessary outbound logistics documentation and data.
[In-house Logistics]
• Check stock level regularly and analyze plan vs actual (communication with purchasing member)
• Ensure that proper FIFO protocols
• Maintain high rack accuracy SAP vs actual (location, Parts, Quantity, FIFO date)
• Make sure there are sufficient parts stock levels in the warehouse to feed the production lines
• Responsible for overseeing the management of return package
• Report on daily activities/problems/solutions etc.
• 3R and 5S activities
• Ensures all inventory hold locations are properly allocated and visually identified (label, location)
• Performs cycle counts as required
• Maintain OS&D process
• Audits incoming material by MOBIS procedures for quantity of material
• Maintain logistics documents with purchasing member
• Responsible for maintaining logistics equipment and bidding (forklift, reach truck, dock leveler, battery charger, PDA, barcode reader, racks, cart, tools)
[Managing Hourly Staff Labor]
• Direction to all warehouse hourly staff
• Train hourly staff and manage attendance and turnover
• Investigate and resolve worker issues
• Issue disciplines to Material Handlers for lack of work performance and any directed by HR
• Conduct team member evaluations or outsourcing company evaluations

Preferred Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry-specific experience required
• 5~7+ years of experience in the material management field in the Automotive industry
• Experienced in automotive SCM and logistics field
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Strong sense of responsibility
• Detailed knowledge of Just in Sequence processes and systems in the Automotive industry
• SAP (PP/MM/SD module) and MES experience
• Solid Accounting/Finance/Mathematical skills
